Specialization

  1. Conducting regular course  on “Post Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS)” at its own campus. The course is approved by  the Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTET)” and affiliated to State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training (SCTE&VT),Odisha.
  2. Conducting short term  course on “Industrial Safety Management”.
  3. Preparation of On-site and Off-site Emergency Plan.
  4. Undertaking “External Safety Audit”
  5. Conducting HAZOP Study.
  6. Conducting specialised “First Aid” Training / Course for the employees of Factories and Mines.

VALIDITY OF CERTIFICATE

  1. The certificate in original issued to successful candidates  after passing the required examination is valid under Section 45(3) of Factories Act, 1948.
  2. The certificate issued to successful candidates  is recognised and approved under the relevant Rules & Regulations of the Mines Act,1952.
  3. As per the Notification  issued by the Chief Inspector of Mines & Director General of Mimes Safety (DGMS), Government of India, published in Gazette of India  dated 4th August,2021 and subsequent Circular issued vide DGMS(Tech)(OH) Circular No.01 of 2021  Dhanbad dated 06.08.2021 the following competency certificates can be issued  to the trainees after duly conducting  an oral and practical examination on completion of the syllabus:

VOUCHER : Voucher First-aid Certificate after completion of 10 days session of lecture & practical training and passing in oral & practical examination , which shall be valid for 5 years.

MEDALLION : Persons holding valid Voucher Certificate for consecutive three years, shall be eligible for Medallion First-aid Certificate after completion of 10 days session of lecture & practical training and passing in oral & practical examination. Medallion certificate shall be valid for life long.

Candidate’s passport size colour photograph and signature shall be put on the certificate. The First-aid Training Officer’s signature and seal of the institute / training centre shall also be put on the certificate.

  • The DGFASLI, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, Mumbai after  due inspection have accorded  approval for conducting “Specialized Course for  Competent Supervisors working in  Hazardous  Industries” under Section 41-c(b) of the Factories Act, 1948 as amended in 1987.
